About Us

Sexy Shutterbug Boudoir is dedicated to giving women an amazing experience coupled with a fabulous photo shoot. We specialize in  boudoir photos for women of all ages, shapes and sizes.

So what is boudoir photography?

It is a photographic style featuring intimate, romantic, and sometimes erotic images of its subjects in a private environment, primarily intended for the private enjoyment of the subject and his or her romantic partners. It is distinct from glamour and art nude photography in that it is usually more suggestive rather than explicit in its approach to nudity and sexuality. It usually features subjects who do not regularly model, and produces images which are not intended to be seen by a wide audience, but rather to remain under the control of the subject

As a kid my passion was always toward being creative. I started as a painter, but making money off of something you are passionate about is not an easy task.  Never giving up, I believed I could make a living being creative.

About 15 years ago all the signs were pointed towards photography. I went for it and decided to go back to school and get a degree in commercial photography.   I LOVE shooting and empowering women has been the driving force behind my love for boudoir photography

I have been commissioned to shoot a wide variety of high-profile events in the the course of my career, photographing people has become my passion.  My ability to help clients relax and feel comfortable in front of the lens is just as important as the creativity and experience I bring to a shoot.

Clients received a email within 24 hours of shooting, with a link to ALL their high resolution images. Images are in color and b.w and a computer is needed to download.

I have never been in front of camera before, a bit nervous, what should I do?

Being prepared for a shoot will help you feel at ease once it comes to time to set foot in front of the camera. Everybody is nervous, but clients that are prepared are more relaxed, which translates into amazing images. Remember this should be a fun! I have lots of experience working with clients who are not professional models. I am great at posing clients and will directing you every step of the way.

What is involved with retouching?

Each image will be retouched to magazine quality. Retouching includes color correction, skin smoothing, fixing flaws and wrinkles in clothing, removing flyaways and stray hairs, and correction of any problem with the props, furniture and backdrops.

If you have any special instructions, please let me know when you send your images for retouching. An additional fee may apply for advanced retouching, per image.  That would include body modification and or different background

Once printing is completed we will arrange to meet for pick up, or $15 Fedex fee applies of delivery, within the tri-state area

Hips & Curves

Can I bring a friend?

If bringing a friend makes you feel more comfortable, of course.

What if I want to do my own make-up or bring a friend to do make-up?

Yes, you can do that. Just make sure whether it is you or your friend who does the make-up that they know how to do make-up for a professional shoot. Lighting is very different in a studio and regular make-up does not translate well with this type of lighting.  That does not mean you cannot do your own make up.

Will anybody else be in the studio with us?

During the shoot, it will only be us two, unless you hired the make up artist

1 week before the shoot:

This would be best time to wax anything, since you do not want to have reddness during the shoot, also if you have some irritation it will be long gone before shoot time.  Make sure you hair does not need a trim or color touch-up.  Remember this is not the time to try a new hairstyle.  If you want to go for a different look, you might want to think about wigs or removable extensions.

Make sure to get a Manicure and a Pedicure.

 48 hrs before the shoot

Confirm the shoot, location and time via email.  Make sure you have all your outfits ready, they fit and are clean, including stockings.

24 hrs before the shoot:

Make sure to get plenty of rest and drink lots of water, avoid alcohol and or salty foods, you do not want to have puffy eyes during the shoot.  Eat something light before the shoot, so you have enough energy, but do not feel bloated. Make sure you get of plenty of sleep the night before the shoot.

 Day of the shoot:

Make sure to wear no tight clothing, that includes socks, under garments as they leave marks on the your body.

If possible book the shoot on day where you do not have to run around, so you are relaxed and it can be a fun experience.

Some of other helpful hints:

Do some research online, looking for poses and looks you like, try the poses at home. Smiling has to be the hardest part of the shoot, practice smiling in front of the mirror, only you will know how it feels when you have your best smile, pout or sultry look on.

Please also remember to remove all tags from your lingerie and from the bottom of your shoes.
